FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Ordering & Pricing

How do I place an order?
Add a service to your cart from any service page or /pricing, choose your tier and quantity, and check out. For bespoke or high-volume work not on the rate card, use the quote form on /contact instead.
Is the price I see the final price?
For standard orders, yes. For documents with unusual formatting, length, or scope, we confirm the exact price after a quick file review — and we say so plainly rather than surprise you at checkout.
What payment methods do you accept?
Checkout runs on a demo payment flow while the site is new — see the payment step for details. For a live order today, call or email us and we’ll arrange payment directly.
Do you offer discounts for large orders?
For high-volume or ongoing work outside the standard rate card, use the quote form — that’s exactly what the bespoke path is for.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes — $45 site-wide, except Website & Software Localization, which has a $500 project minimum.

Certified & Official

What does "certified" mean, exactly?
A signed certificate of accuracy is attached to your translation, attesting it’s complete and accurate to the best of the translator’s ability, and the translation is formatted to mirror your original document.
Will USCIS / my university / the court accept this?
We format and certify to the standard these institutions describe in their own instructions. We can’t guarantee any individual reviewer’s decision, but formatting and certification — the two most commonly flagged issues — are built into every certified order.
Do I need notarization too?
Depends on the receiving institution — some want certified only, some want notarized. Tell us where the document is going and we’ll tell you which applies.
What’s an apostille, and do I need one?
An apostille is a state-issued certification that makes a US document recognized abroad, for countries in the Hague Apostille Convention. You need one if you’re sending a US document to a country that requires it — tell us the destination and we’ll confirm.

Turnaround & Delivery

How fast will my document be ready?
Certified documents: 24–48 business hours standard. Other services are scheduled by length — see each service page, or the SLA table on /how-it-works.
Can I get it faster?
Rush delivery is available on most services (+35%; same-day +75% where available). Select it when you add the service to your cart.
How is my translation delivered?
Digitally by default (PDF + editable file), by email. Certified hard copies by mail are available as a delivery option at checkout, for a flat fee.
What if I need to send you the actual document file?
There’s no upload field at checkout yet — after you order, email it to support@teda-translation.com with your order reference (shown on the confirmation page). Placing your order also opens a pre-filled email addressed to us in your own mail app — attach your file to that and send it, or write your own. Either way, we’ll take it from there.

Confidentiality

Who sees my document?
A limited number of assigned linguists and staff — matched to your language pair and, where relevant, your subject matter — not an open pool.
How long do you keep my file?
90 days after your project is complete, then it’s deleted, unless you ask us to keep it on file for a future revision.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, for legal and business clients — send your firm’s NDA before work begins and we’ll sign it as part of the order.
Is my medical information handled any differently?
Yes — medical orders get HIPAA-aware handling: the same access limits and deletion schedule as every service, applied with extra care given what’s at stake. See Medical Translation for the specifics.
